Shadows

Lurking, hoovering in silence
Quietly watching and a constant companion
Uncertainty prevails
Fear is masked in darkness
Guilt is tangible
Dread is always at hand
Pain is glorified
Dead wishes complement lost hopes
In shadows, life cowers
In shadows, a future is dead
In shadows, we live.
Shadows.

  1. Interesting writing. As if subject has lost all hope. Not a glimmer of light showing. All doubt and uncertainty. This must be how a person with Clinical Depression feels.

  2. Yes very true. It is deliberate. I held a conversation with someone and it felt like life was falling apart. Somehow I had to get deeper and understand things from the subject’s perspective. Only then I could be able to help the subject get out the mental mire. The mood is dreary and dark. Dark energy pervades. Shadows are never friendly, they harbour evil. But life will shine eventually. Thanks Ann for reading.
